Distances: Sat 13 miles, Sun 4 miles
Weather: Hot (85-90 degrees) and sunny

Company: Lizzie and Cindy, along with 13 other backpackers (16 total)
Features: The General, Yellow Springs Registrar, abandoned mining town, lots of daddy long leggers, camped by a nice stream
Of Note: 7 weeks pregnant (got a blueberry in there!), didn't bring enough water, had only slept 4 hours Fri night

The rocky PA trail

The Yellow Springs registrar was a mailbox on top of a rotted post... which we realized when we promptly knocked it over. Oops.

The General! Accessible via .5 mile side trail. It's been here since 1920 apparently.

Passed by the ruins of this village that was built around mining... when mining went, so did the railroad that ran through here. All that's left is a water filter table that uses limestone to make the stream less acidic and support marine life.

Creepy little family cemetary .01 miles down this way.

The Proud family. 1854. Also included a little 1 yr old baby ground marker.

Beautiful meadow we came out into toward the end.

One last crossing!
